EF2 April Update 1: Good Progress, But A Short Update!

Hello everybody! It’s update time! A short one for our mid-month update today because I’m having a bit of a weird eye problem and thus trying to limit my screentime a bit. How’d I do on the list?

  • Write another 5 conversations: Wrote 3.5 more

  • Finish the assets for another character zone: Done! I made the assets for Munya’s zone and got started on another.

  • Implement a character zone: Not done, but started!

I did begin the process of implementing a character zone, but then the aforementioned limiting of screentime came into the picture, so I wasn’t able to finish yet- I’ve not encountered any roadblocks in the actual process though, no problems coding it in so far! I instead spent some extra time on making zone assets, since all but two characters have non-digital artstyles for those, so I completed Munya’s and was able to begin on Syoko’s.

As for the conversation writing, I just didn’t squeeze out enough time during the weekdays with convention prep and recovery in the mix. I’ll just add that onto the next period’s goals~

  • Digitize a character zone (not necessarily implement)

  • Finish implementing Greta zone

  • Write an additional 7 conversations

  • Finish some previously sketched CGs

That’s all I’ve got for now! No visuals this update either, sorry about the truncated check-in, I’ll talk to you again on 4/26 and thank you, as always, for reading!

Entropic Float 2 December Update #1: Backgrounds!

Hello everybody! It’s midway through December- That means it’s update time! With everything going on this month, I did set smaller goals, with plans to catch up in January if those still fell short. So far this month… Draw the remaining backgrounds necessary for area 4 - Done! Sharing one of those below~ Draw characters for the Area 4 backgrounds - Partially complete! I’ve sketched them into their positions, but have yet to finish them fully. So, mostly on track! Since I did get started on the characters, I’ll carry that goal into the rest of the month, though I’m also still working on making gifts for the people in my life, and completing holiday season etsy orders for others! This is the usual stuff of December, and regular work has also been busier this year than it usually is this month (as mentioned last update) so I’m doing my best. If only gamedev paid the bills… EF2 might be done by now if I could afford to focus only on it! This period’s backgrounds are, as mentioned bef...

The Haunting Of Kurumi Mori: Spooktober 2025 Entry! (And An EF2 Check-In)

The Haunting Of Kurumi Mori Is Now Available! This is an entry to the Spooktober 2025 Visual Novel Jam- Made by myself and an amazing team (PrinxeCatqueer, TollingBells, and Chaotic_ERROR with additional beta testing by Quartoch!) entirely within the month of September! And oh boy, am I ever pleased with the result. It might not be one of those games that you wonder 'how was this made for a gamejam', but I'm proud of how our hard work came together to create this lovely little side-game set in the Entropic Float universe. It's a standalone story, but there's a subtle cameo-mention of a character you know and love, and this game will introduce you to a couple of characters whose stories will eventually intersect with that of our heroes. Now, as for Entropic Float 2- I'll admit it was a smart, if painful, move for me to take this hiatus from sharing updates. My summer was stressful in a hundred different ways, and I genuinely don't think I could have even mana...

Entropic Float 2: Character Reveal and Kickstarter Date!

Entropic Float 2... Characters! They're here! The video above shares some songs to help you get the feel on their personalities- And their profiles are available too! I've also been hard at work to get the demo ready before the Kickstarter, which I've decided to launch on 11/11/2023 ! Below, you can see the first talksprite for good ol' Kanatsune Ame. To temper expectations a bit- The demo will only cover the beginning of the game. The 'exposition loop', if you will. Several of these characters won't be appearing yet, and certain loop-related features will, well, not exist because there is no second loop to implement them on. It should, however, give you an idea of what the story's going to be, and how the main point-and-click gameplay will work. Just enough of a taster to let you know that EF2 is worth getting made! And I mean... Even if the Kickstarter fails, I'll make it anyway. It just might take me a good bit longer, and might miss out on some...
