October Update- Spooky Bundles and Formalized Progress!

Entropic Float is featured once again in the Halloween Queer Stories Bundle- And if you haven’t grabbed yourself the Beloved Ghost DLC yet, it holds the elusive title as the one DLC in the bundle too! Support me and a whole bunch of other wonderful gamedevs with this mutual aid bundle, available at a suggested supporter price or a discounted price- Choose what you can afford! People both behind and included in this bundle were incredibly helpful with the Kickstarter nearly a year ago now, so show them some love! On to the updates! When it comes to what I said I’d be getting done throughout September- I got the apparel photographed and posted, and the housekeeping updates pushed! These ended up basically being my September Update, since I shared the info about both at once. As for getting the EF2 demo onto steam- I made the small text edits necessary in the demo itself (as info about Kickstarter in the itch demo release is no longer relevant) but have yet to actually get it posted....

Letters To A Beloved Ghost: DLC Release!!

After a long development process, balancing chronic illness with an unexpected increase in scope,  Letters To A Beloved Ghost can finally be purchased and played ! This DLC represents a collection of side stories, some silly and some serious, culminating in a meta-narrative conversation with the GUI's narration herself. What was that about scope? Oh, right- The DLC contains OVER 150,000 words of new content and OVER 100 pieces of brand new original art. I've been very busy getting this ready for all of you to enjoy, and I truly hope that now that it's here, you do! And if you backed the EF2 Kickstarter- Your download keys should be in your email! If they aren't, reach out! Thank you all again- And good luck finding all the hidden secrets I've hidden away in this game. None of the lore here will leave you lost in future main-line games if you decide to skip it, but there sure are some fun hints. Happy hunting!

Entropic Float's One Year Anniversary!

[Hover images for Credits] One year ago today- On July 7th, 2022- I released the 300k+ word long visual novel Entropic Float: This World Will Decay and Disappear, at no cost on itch and steam. It was a labor of love- I worked on it for just over a year and a half, and my life changed a lot during that time. I got a job related to my degree, then proceeded to crash and burn when it turned out that I couldn't actually manage that job alongside my chronic conditions. Working on Entropic Float was the only thing during that time that really made me happy at all, so it's no surprise I ended up quitting for my health shortly after release... Since I released Entropic Float, lots of things have happened. I've seen it referred to on reddit as 'the queerest game I've ever played'. I've received wonderful fanart. People have come to me saying that the game helped them realize they were physically disabled. My good friend, the vtuber FreyaFukunaga, played through the...

Entropic Float in 2023: An Update!

Happy New Year, everybody!                                                                     It's 2023  and I have a lot of plans! I'll start out by offering reminders that there's a survey to influence the contents of the Entropic Float DLC (Letters To A Beloved Ghost) and make sure that you get to see your favorite characters again, as well as a few pieces of official Entropic Float Merch available on my etsy store.  There are stickers of the full cast, keychains of the protagonists and antagonist, and pin buttons of each standard ending- But if there's a particular piece of merchandise you'd want to see, feel free to contact me and let me know. Entropic Float: Letters To A Beloved Ghost As mentioned above, there's a survey to influence this DLC's content, but that...

Entropic Float DLC Survey and 9/23 Update Notes

Hi everyone! The ‘August QoL Update’ is finally ready now, halfway through September. Long story short is that I kept thinking of ways to spruce up the game, so my list got longer instead of shorter. But it’s ready now! Changelog is below, but first… I’d like to invite anybody who’s completed Entropic Float: This World Will Decay And Disappear to participate in an interest survey for the contents of a DLC! Entropic Float 2 is still just as planned as ever- The ‘Letters To A Beloved Ghost’ DLC will be a collection of side stories. Side stories about what, exactly? That’s where you come in! There are already several planned stories with plot relevance- Connecting threads between Entropic Float and Entropic Float 2 that fit better in the DLC than in either game, for example. But I’m also interested in seeing what sort of stories you’d be looking for from a side story DLC. That’s what this survey is for! Let your voice be heard if you’ve got your heart set on seeing more of a particular ch...

Entropic Float Post-Release Update!

Hi everybody! It's been a month today since the initial release of Entropic Float: This World Will Decay And Disappear! The response has been amazing so far- Wonderful feedback on steam and itch! I hope that with time, my story can continue to reach out and touch hearts. Today's featured art includes two Artfight attacks I received! One of Loam from Gladebell, and one of Rashmi and Amelie from Liliatdmful~ Due to the timing of this release, the convention, and some other stuff in my personal life I wasn't able to participate quite as much as I did in 2021...  But it was still a lot of fun! But now, for some actual updates! August QoL Update Later this month, I'm hoping to release a QoL update with a few changes. Fixing up a few more mistakes that slipped through the cracks, of course, but a few solid changes as well. I'd like to adjust the trigger timing on the 'Are You Making Fun Of Me?' achievement to make it easier to get, balance the music and textspe...

Entropic Float Release Announcement!

(Announcement art by the lovely @ministarfruit !) The one thing made certain in the Loop Anomaly that suddenly appeared in Black Rock Desert in 2024- No matter what the individuals trapped inside might try to do, their version of the world will fade away when the clocktower strikes midnight. It's up to you to influence their choices and determine the method through which each loop will disappear. As you step into the shoes of Kanatsun, Amelie, and Rashmi over the course of nine different timelines, discover the secrets of the characters and the clocktower alike. Push your protagonist into making good choices, and see the loop simply rewind, granting its victims the opportunity to recall the events which transpired... Or dive into poor decisions and watch as Entropy overtakes the loop, leaving you the only one to remember the way the timeline fell apart. How was this Anomaly formed? Why did these particular people get trapped inside? What is the source of the Entropy, and who ...

Entropic Float Biweekly Update #22

Malcolm's never been in the featured art here before, has he? Well, here he is now! Specifically, this art of Malcolm is a little more smooth in the face and rough around the edges, since this is a CG of him as a young adult. It's by Fish on Skeb ! Ah, it's been great being able to get all of this nice art commissioned for the game. It's a good thing the game's almost ready, then, since I plan to leave my day job for a lower-paying one which is more flexible with my health conditions. A factor of my life which is most definitely reflected in the plot of Entropic Float... Anyway. This is the last update I've got for you before release! Yeah, we're just thirteen days away! Less than two weeks, since these updates are on alternating Sundays and release is on a Saturday! I hope you're all excited to finally play it. My goal progress from last time: Receive and act on remaining bug reports Done! Assemble and implement end credits Done! My goals for next t...

Entropic Float Biweekly Update #21

I'm running out of images that are spoiler-free enough to share here! So instead of a commission, you get one of my own CGs for the game as this update's featured art. This is for Jazz's backstory- Back when she was an undergrad! The character she's with is named Angel- Of course, someone as extroverted as Jazz would have friends outside of the main cast! I also wanted to let everyone know that the Steam Page was approved, so while you can't donate when you download over there like you can with itch, feel free to wishlist the game  if you didn't plan to donate, or just for convenience sake! Anyway, we're so close to release now, it's time to do away with the categories and just focus on my tasklists! My goal progress from last time: - Draw at least 6 CGs   Done! I drew all 12 - Add Steam Achievements Done! My goals for next time: Receive and act on remaining bug reports Assemble and implement end credits In this cycle, I drew the 12 remaining CGs that ...

Entropic Float Biweekly Update #20

Happy Memorial Day weekend! It's happy for me at least, since I have Monday off of work. This update's art is by Gonya on skeb  . This close to release, I'm running out of anything to share that isn't filled with spoilers, but this art of Amelie is vague enough! Luckily, we only have two more updates between this one and release weekend. Writing: 31/31 standard segments.  36/36 Memory Seeking segments. 7/7 Epilogue segments. That's right. 74/74 segments, 115,000 words in the route for 309,000 total. All written! Actually, I finished last weekend, so the game's been in my beta testers' hands for a week now. I'm very much ahead of schedule at the moment! And since the writing is now done, I can leave this section out of the remaining updates. Background Music: Those two BGM tracks I mentioned last week have been added to the OST Playlist . Both by Enokido. I'm also working on getting a track licensed for the game's end credits. My goal p...

Entropic Float Biweekly Update #19

This update's art is from  Katuo on skeb!  Another cute little Peri this time. Like Touko, Peri is one of those characters who seems to have a pretty big appeal to JP artists- When I give people the option to draw any of my characters, she's a frequent choice! It's been a while since the last time I updated. This three-week development cycle to account for a weekend spent away, has still been quite productive! The trailer for Entropic Float also became available since then- Amazingly edited by Casper, the creator of Heart Fragment, Starfield Gaming's other property! Writing: 28/31 standard segments. That's right, I wrote ten of them since last time! This means that there are only three left! 36/36 Memory Seeking segments. I polished off the last two necessary in this category! It's finished! 3/7 Epilogue segments. Yep, I actually also managed to get started on these! And I'm more than halfway done with the fourth segment, too, so we could sa...

Entropic Float Biweekly Update #18

This update's art is from  Hirabi on skeb!  Jazz is lovely, isn't she? An individual with a sense of performance! She may be an academic, but that doesn't mean the world can't be a stage for her. When you play the game, I think you may end up being surprised by her- I know I was when I was writing! And speaking of writing, let's get right into the progress this cycle... Writing: 18/31 standard segments. As expected, only three of these this week thanks to some other circumstances- But this still takes us past the halfway point in this category! 34/36 Memory Seeking segments. Eleven since last time, and only two of these left to go! Just in time for the NVL-styled standard segments to start being written when I'm away from my desk, too. We're now at 52/74 segments of the Miracle Route. Just 22 segments left to write before I can get the miracle route to my beta testers! Background Music: I've added four new OST tracks from musical artists on sk...
