The Haunting Of Kurumi Mori: Spooktober 2025 Entry! (And An EF2 Check-In)

The Haunting Of Kurumi Mori Is Now Available!

This is an entry to the Spooktober 2025 Visual Novel Jam- Made by myself and an amazing team (PrinxeCatqueer, TollingBells, and Chaotic_ERROR with additional beta testing by Quartoch!) entirely within the month of September! And oh boy, am I ever pleased with the result. It might not be one of those games that you wonder 'how was this made for a gamejam', but I'm proud of how our hard work came together to create this lovely little side-game set in the Entropic Float universe. It's a standalone story, but there's a subtle cameo-mention of a character you know and love, and this game will introduce you to a couple of characters whose stories will eventually intersect with that of our heroes.

Now, as for Entropic Float 2- I'll admit it was a smart, if painful, move for me to take this hiatus from sharing updates. My summer was stressful in a hundred different ways, and I genuinely don't think I could have even managed to make updates, let alone hit meaningful goals with which to give update information. Though I still managed to make some progress, I have been having something of a rough time! Moving when both members of the household are going different places, during a busy season for both my day job and conventions, along with a number of other chaotic or unfortunate events... It's a lot to manage!

But, the hiatus is done now. My summer progress isn't anything particularly worth noting in this update with the gamejam release, so that'll just be bundled into a proper update on October 11th, the usual 2 weeks of active development cycle! Of course, a couple of the backgrounds for Haunting might pass muster for use in EF2 as well, so perhaps I accomplished just a bit during September... In any case, I hope you enjoy The Haunting Of Kurumi Mori for what it is- A fun little standalone gamejam creation that helped to keep me sharp and learn a few more things about ren'py to apply to EF2 moving forward, and a product of hard work by the team!

And just maybe, I'll have some exciting news in an October update...

Thank you for reading, and I'll see you again soon!
